Before I start posting all those pictures from bears, volcanoes, lonely deserts and wilderness treks I have to say that it is always amazing that incredibly friendly interesting people are out there in this world! In our case it is Ken - Ken: if you read this: hopefully you don't mind that I'm posting this now ;) - whom we met at the University of Anchorage mapstore and who is not only an amazing American to talk to (in perfect German... or Icelandic if you'd prefer that instead) but also a very, very friendly host who showed us around in Anchorage, drank good beer with us and played taxi for us... thanks Ken, we're still speechless!!!
